At Pydun Technology, we believe that true learning begins where comfort zones end. Our programs are designed to challenge, inspire, and empower students to achieve more than they ever imagined possible. One such remarkable journey unfolded in December 2024, when Lakshmi Bala, a student from Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE), Madurai, joined our 2-week Web Development Internship.
This was not an ordinary internship. Lakshmi came in with a very specific and urgent academic requirement—she had to complete a full project and submit it to her college within just 2 weeks. This timeline was tight, and the scope was intense. At Pydun, we saw this as an opportunity to support a committed student in achieving something extraordinary.
The Challenge
Lakshmi’s college had mandated a project submission aligned with her academic curriculum, and she chose to fulfill this requirement through our internship program. The catch? The timeframe was incredibly short, and the project needed to be developed from scratch using a set of advanced technologies.
The tech stack required for the project included PHP 8.2, Laravel 11, and MySQL 10 — modern, powerful tools widely used in professional web development. While Lakshmi had a basic understanding of these technologies, she was not yet equipped with the skills needed to independently plan, code, and complete a project of this scale.
For most students, this situation would have seemed overwhelming. But Lakshmi had something rare — a genuine desire to learn and an unwavering commitment to achieving her goal.

Our Response
Understanding the urgency of the situation, our team at Pydun quickly stepped in to design a customized learning and mentorship plan that would give her the knowledge and structure needed to succeed.
We divided her 2-week internship into two core phases:
Phase 1 : Accelerated Training
In the initial days, Lakshmi underwent an intensive hands-on training program focused exclusively on the essential technologies.
- She was introduced to PHP 8.2, covering modern PHP syntax, functions, and best practices.
- She explored Laravel 11, where she learned about routing, controllers, models, migrations, blade templates, and authentication.
- She also received foundational training in MySQL 10, focusing on database design, CRUD operations, and relational data handling.
The training was not just theoretical. Each concept was taught through practical coding sessions, giving her immediate exposure to real-world development techniques. Lakshmi’s ability to grasp concepts quickly, combined with her consistent attendance and punctuality, made a strong impression on her mentors.
Phase 2 : Project Development & Mentorship
Once the basics were in place, we shifted gears to project development. Lakshmi was assigned a web application project aligned with her academic requirements. Our mentor team supported her through:
- Requirement Analysis – understanding what needed to be built.
- Database Design – structuring MySQL tables and relationships.
- Frontend and Backend Integration – using Laravel’s MVC architecture.
- Testing and Debugging – resolving issues in real-time and ensuring functionality.
Despite having to deal with new tools and complex logic, Lakshmi remained focused, open to feedback, and eager to improve. Many sessions ran beyond the standard hours. She and her mentor often dedicated extra time, to ensure the project moved forward each day.
The Outcome
By the end of the internship, Lakshmi had successfully built a fully functional web application, presented her work confidently, and was able to submit her project on time to her college—a milestone that seemed uncertain just two weeks prior.
The entire process—from initial hesitation to full-fledged project completion—showcased her transformational growth in such a short period. The project was not just submitted, but it also reflected quality coding practices, clear understanding of the framework, and a well-structured database—all signs of a student who had truly learned the craft.
To capture her achievement, we recorded a video of her final project presentation at Pydun, highlighting the features she built and her journey through the process. This video now stands as a proud record of her dedication, growth, and success.

Recognizing Her
Commitment
At Pydun Technology, we believe that success is not just about what you achieve, but the effort, resilience, and mindset that you bring to the table. Lakshmi Bala exemplified all these traits. Her ability to remain calm under pressure, learn rapidly, and collaborate effectively with mentors speaks volumes about her future potential.
In recognition of her exceptional dedication, hard work, and sincere attitude, we are proud to present Lakshmi Bala with the Outstanding Performance Award.
This award not only celebrates the successful completion of her internship project, but also honours her for the values she displayed—discipline, eagerness to learn, responsibility, and grit.
