UI/UX and Web Designing internship
( June 2025 )
Fatima College

Harini Priya, a student from Fatima College, joined our UI/UX and Web Designing internship purely out of personal interest. Despite having no background in design or coding, she showed exceptional drive and curiosity.
From exploring Figma and Adobe XD to learning HTML and Bootstrap, Harini embraced every challenge with determination. Her ability to blend creativity with functionality stood out.
Within just 1 Month, she evolved from a beginner into a confident designer. Her sincerity, adaptability, and outstanding project execution earned her the Outstanding Performance Award, making her journey a true example of passion turning into skill.
The Challenge
When Harini Priya began the internship, her biggest hurdle was entering a new domain with no prior experience. Learning tools like Figma and Adobe XD was daunting, especially while understanding design principles from a user’s perspective.
Her chosen project—Designing a Modern User Interface for Movie Ticket Booking—added complexity. She had to balance aesthetics, accessibility, and seamless user flow in a real-world context. Concepts like user personas, wireframing, and responsive layout were unfamiliar but essential.
Despite time constraints and technical gaps, she approached each obstacle with a learner’s mindset, transforming challenges into meaningful growth throughout the process.

Our Response
Recognizing Harini’s eagerness to learn, we provided a structured, supportive environment that introduced her gradually to UI/UX concepts and design tools. Step-by-step guidance, live mentoring, and feedback sessions helped her overcome initial hurdles. She quickly picked up design thinking, wire framing, and coding basics. Assignments were given in stages to allow her to apply new skills without feeling overwhelmed. Her questions during sessions showed deep engagement, and we tailored the learning pace to suit her growth. Encouragement from mentors and exposure to past interns’ work gave her inspiration and clarity. Harini’s consistent improvement validated our approach and made mentoring her rewarding.
We divided her 1-Month internship into two core phases:
Phase 1 : Accelerated Training
The internship began with focused training on key UI/UX principles, user personas, journey maps, and visual hierarchy. Harini explored Figma to create wireframes and prototypes, and eagerly practiced layout structures using HTML and CSS. Bootstrap was introduced to teach responsive design. Though initially hesitant with coding, she found joy in seeing her work come alive on screen. Her dedication to completing quizzes, attending sessions, and submitting extra work reflected strong commitment. In just days, she moved from sketches to interactive designs. This phase built her creative confidence and technical foundation, preparing her to take on a real-world project in Phase 2.
Phase 2 : Project Development & Mentorship
In this phase, Harini applied her skills to a real-world project - Designing a Modern User Interface for Movie Ticket Booking. She started by researching user expectations and pain points in online ticketing. With mentor support, she created clear wireframes, user flows, and high-fidelity prototypes. Using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap, she developed a responsive layout focusing on ease of navigation and booking efficiency. Her design included seat selection visuals, streamlined filters, and mobile compatibility. Harini debugged layout issues independently and enhanced usability with intuitive interactions. The final result was not just functional but elegant—showcasing her transformation into a confident, user-first designer.
The Outcome
Harini’s internship journey culminated in a complete transformation. In just one month, she built a responsive website prototype grounded in design thinking, showcasing clean layouts, smooth navigation, and an eye for detail. Her project stood as a testament to her ability to merge aesthetics with function, despite starting with no prior experience.
She did not just follow instructions, she internalized design logic and applied it meaningfully. More importantly, Harini gained confidence in her creativity and technical skill. By the end, she was not just a learner anymore, she emerged as a capable, insightful designer ready to explore the digital design world.

Recognizing Her
Commitment
Harini’s commitment set her apart. She consistently went beyond expectations, submitting extra work, asking thoughtful questions, and refining her designs with care. Despite facing new tools and tight schedules, she showed remarkable self-discipline and a growth mindset. She actively participated in every session, treating feedback as a chance to improve rather than criticism.
Her passion for learning and her persistence in overcoming challenges inspired both mentors and peers. In recognition of this dedication, we proudly awarded her the Outstanding Performance Award , celebrating not just her skills, but the heart and effort she put into every step of her journey.
