Bridging Math with Intelligence: Data Science & Analytics with AI Internship for The Madura College
At Pydun Technology, we strive to create transformative learning experiences that empower students to convert their academic strengths into practical, career-oriented expertise. On 27th May 2025, we successfully launched a 30-hour internship titled Data Science & Analytics with AI, designed for a group of 15 students—including postgraduate mathematics students from The Madura College, along with additional participants from VIT and Annamalai University.
This internship was meticulously curated to introduce participants to key elements of data science: data preprocessing, exploratory data analysis (EDA), data visualization, and foundational artificial intelligence techniques. Using tools such as Python, Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, and scikit-learn, students analysed real-world datasets and performed tasks that integrated statistical insight with practical computation.
What made this batch unique was the strong mathematical foundation the students brought into the training. Concepts such as regression, classification, model evaluation metrics, and data-driven decision making were absorbed quickly and applied effectively. The AI component introduced students to basic automation techniques and machine learning workflows, enabling them to understand how intelligence is embedded into modern data systems.
Each student completed a mini-project, applying their learning to real datasets. They explored trends, built visual reports, and used simple AI models to make predictions. This hands-on, project-based approach allowed them to simulate a real data scientist’s workflow—from raw data to actionable insight.
The students' enthusiasm, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities stood out throughout the program. Their feedback highlighted the value of real-time mentor guidance, structured concept delivery, and opportunities for practical application.
We are proud to have mentored this motivated and intellectually strong group of students. This collaboration reflects our vision of aligning academic talent with the needs of tomorrow’s tech landscape, and we look forward to more such cross-disciplinary engagements.
